It's about 1:00am, and i can't really sleep. I haven't gotten a chance to write on my blog until now because I've been super busy with class and volunteering at New Horizons. New Horizons is a school for children with special needs. I have been volunteering there for the past week and a half and i love it. The children and super kind and welcoming and they look foward to us coming to work with them.
This past weekend we went to the Wli Waterfalls, in the Volta Region of Ghana. Here I saw nature at its best. It was beautiful, we waded in the water and took a million pictures. (I have been trying to upload my pictures but the computers are super slow, I will upload them all when i get home, sorry)
This is my last week of lecture and Friday is a free day. I think we are going to try and go to the beach since we haven't been yet and they are said to be amazing. Then on Saturday we are traveling to Kumasi where wed will have some workshops, and do some shopping.
I'm still loving it here, but am counting down until I come home! I love and miss you all.

OK....i finally got a chance to sit down and just write! First and foremost i am LOVING this experience. Everyday i learn or see something new. Here are a few pcitures from my first week. So far i have been to the national museum, the Dubois Center and the Nkrumah Center. I have also travled to the Botanical Gardnes. Wednesday night the group went to Labatti beach and listened to music, and danced the night away. (But i did get up in time for class!!!)
Tomorrow i leave for the village of Akosombo where we will visit the dam and cruise on the Dodi Princess!!!!
I am getting a chance to see Ghana the good and the not so good. The not so good being the extreme level of poverty. It boggles my mind. I have never seen such a strong people.
I have been welcomed with open arms, and i am making many friends. I can't wait to experince more of Ghana.
Here are a few pictures of my journey so far.
I love you guys!

I'm Here
I have been here for two days now and i am having an amazing time. Sad to say i dont have much time to write for two reasons. One we are super busy, and two there are only two computers for 27 people. But i just wanted to report home, and let everyone know that this is the trip of a lifetime and that everyone should come to see Ghana!!!!
Much Love Always,
